The course

Golf Club Toscana

Among olive groves, cypresses and the hills of the Maremma, Britain's Keith Preston laid out a course in 1999 that was voted one of the ten best new courses in 2003. Not a long hitter's course, but one that asks for line, judgement and a short game.

Water hazards, greens with more than one break, strategically placed rough and a few out-of-bounds edges: score here and you have read the course. Host to national and international competitions, among them the Nick Faldo Series Italy Championship. And the 18th holds the reward: the view across the Tyrrhenian Sea to Elba and Corsica.

Golf weather while your home course is closed

Who it pays off for

No schedule. Your rhythm.

The package prescribes nothing. It simply takes the bill out of the equation. One round a day, two, or none at all: the price stays the same.

18 every day
The high-mileage golfer
You are on the first tee each morning and keep going until the last day. Across 7 nights that is up to 8 rounds. This is where the package pays off most clearly: cart included for three rounds, trolley for the rest.
Spontaneous, not scheduled
The weather watcher
Mist first thing? Then eleven o'clock it is. Fancy another nine in the afternoon? It costs nothing extra. With no green fee arithmetic running in your head, only your mood decides – and in the low season the course is pleasantly quiet.
Golfer meets non-golfer
The mixed pairing
One of you plays; the other has the pool, the spa, the beach and the Maremma on the doorstep. The wine tasting covers you both, and you are back by three, with neither of you having given anything up.
Rounds, not the range
The handicap chaser
Repetition is the fastest route to a lower handicap: play one course six times rather than six courses once. Add the pro or a handicap-counting RPR round if you like. If not, simply keep playing.

Private beach on the Mediterranean
Private beach

Questions before booking

Everything that matters, at a glance

What handicap do I need?+
You need a valid handicap certificate from your home club; the limit is HCP 54, which covers virtually every player who has passed a course permission test. The course is not especially long and plays as well for keen club golfers as for single-figure handicappers. Beginners without a certificate start in the taster session and on the practice facilities.
Is “unlimited” really unlimited?+
Yes. The green fee on our own course is included for the whole of your stay, whether you play one round or three in a day. Tee times are booked through the golf office; in the low season the course is pleasantly quiet.
How are the golf carts allocated?+
The package includes 3 cart uses, which you may spread across your rounds as you wish. Further carts can be added on site; trolleys are also available.
Can I travel without my own clubs?+
Yes, rental clubs and shoes are available in the pro shop. They are not part of the package and are settled on site. Rental clubs are, however, included in the PGA pro’s game improvement course.
How does the wine tasting work?+
One tasting at our partner winery in the Maremma is included in the package, and everyone on your booking attends it together. You arrange the date with reception when you arrive.
Cancellation and payment?+
The full amount is charged at booking; the rate is non-refundable and cannot be changed. That is exactly why it sits well below the flexible rate. If you would rather be covered, combine the booking with travel insurance. The package is bookable until 31 Aug 2026 only, with travel any time between 1 Oct 2026 and 31 Jan 2027 (3 to 7 nights). Tourist tax is collected on site.
